The Frank Burkitt Band are delighted to be heading to Waiheke Island to play as part of their 30 date ‘Lost but Alive’ NZ Tour.
Frank is a story teller, songwriter, singer and guitarist. In that order. His rambling anecdotes aim to give the audience more of a connection with his songs. A folk songwriter at his core, American roots music with hints of jazz, blues and swing very much shape his music. The band’s set can get the room’s foot tapping, but also contains more poignant songs that audiences can really invest in.
2019 will see The Frank Burkitt Band embark on the longest tour of their lives. From January – June, they intend to take their music all around New Zealand, Australia and the UK. Yes, they are quite ambitious and slightly unhinged. They will be releasing a new live EP to coincide with their touring adventures.
You can check out the band here: www.frankburkitt.co.nz/videos.
TIME: 7pm bar opens / 7.30pm show starts
TICKETS: $20 adult pre-sales & $25 door sales

Taking the interests of each participant into account we will work over one week to bring together a fun filled performance showcasing individual & group talents that they have learnt that week. We know everyone is unique and we welcome diversity in attitude and ability!
Each session begins with warms ups & team building, offers a chance to practice on a variety of circus tools and adapts visual design, technical and storytelling skills to create the end of week show.
This is a practical, creative and physical workshop, using improvisation to bring out the best in personality and performance.
“Another world is possible – so fill your life with whatever you want to be – but be warned with hard work comes the freedom to fly. And once you fly there’s no going back!”
This is sponsored by the generosity of Waiheke Rotary – thank you.
