The Awhina Whakatau Trust is a non-profit organization committed to embracing and empowering refugee and immigrant families as they make New Zealand their new home. Rooted in the spirit of 'Awhina'—the Māori term for help and support—our Trust aims to provide holistic assistance to these families, alleviating the challenges that come with resettlement and integration.
Our Programme: Awhina Homes: A New Start
We are proud to introduce our cornerstone initiative—Awhina Homes: A New Start. This program aims to provide comprehensive property services, from finding secure housing to aiding in home maintenance, to ensure a seamless transition for families new to our shores. We believe that a stable home is the foundation for a successful new beginning, and it is our mission to deliver that stability to families in need.
